Wouldnt that lead to a stampede of people wanting to play you on your "super dope" board and a dirth of people wanting to play me on my standard, no frills, brown board? You would have all the fun and I'd be lonely.

Haha or even in tournament play where you play your opponent twice. One game is on your board and the other game is on your opponents board.
There could be a competition for who has the coolest (dopest?) board!
How cool would it be if players can play on the same chess board you are playing on when you play against them. For instance, If I request a match, is it possible there could be a choice to play on my board since I requested the match and the player accepts? I'm basically asking because the board I play on here is super dope. It's translucent and the gif behind it is stellar. I honestly feel bad that no one else can play on it. I'm sure there are other variants others use for their own board as well. It seems it would be fun and cool to play on an opponents choice of board. sort of like their home court. In any fashion, I'm all about spreading the awesomeness.
It's an idea that I am sure can evolve with more brains in use. Orale.
