How come you can't buy premium for someone without an account ?

Context tho : My grandma want to gift me a premium but because she doesn't have an account (and will not create one), she can't gift it !!!

The chess.com/membership/gift page is only accessible when you're logged in. There is no activation code or other way to get a premium besides this or me giving her my logs.

I think it's a really bad thing.

I've asked in the past why the gift option requires a membership, but haven't heard back.

 

You might be able to get a way to get a direct option to pay via PayPal, but would need to get the address and process from support: https://support.chess.com/article/346-contact-us
