Actually i think it didn’t really changed. They just lowered the value of the puzzle rating. But my peak rating is now literally unreachable. That’s the only thing that’s concerning me. –9 | +3 is actually not a bad score for my experience. I experienced that the balance of solving / failing can be 5 | 1 too.

I dont think that puzzle rating matters, therefore how much the + or - will be in the end is also irrelevant. You are either good at it or not. Nothing changes if you have 3000± puzzle rating or 1500±. So just keep puzzling and be happy
If you want to get more balanced score then go to Settings > Gameplay > Puzzles and select Hard or Extra Hard in the dropdown list

My puzzle rating is over 200 000 but I’m back at Wood 10
What happened there?

Me seeing that you also have a ridiculously high score is not the point. The point is that I am asking why practically anyone can get these scores, and the second question is why did I go down to Wood from elite?

Could it be that you "prestiged" and went from elite to stone¹ (Prestige). Because when you finish all of the puzzles in a row from wood to legend, you start anew just with the higher prestige. Just like explained in the link.

Yes you go to wood after you finished legend and you get prestige. It‘s normal.

I agree that the puzzle gain/lose ratio is dumb. You get -13 when you lose and only +4 when you win. WHAT IS THAT ALL ABOUT

Change the superb puzzle difficulty option and be happy
I can not appreciate the new puzzle rating system. It may be commercial driven, but if so, it has failed to catch me.

i think its fine. i mean, first, why would care? It's not like if u get past 3000 puzzles u get free admission to Harvard...
In OTB, if u win you get 6. you lose, u get -12. depending if he is ur stage.
It matches the strength of your OTB.
So if you don't know, Chess.com has updated the Puzzle rating system... Kinda hard... So they made it NONSENSE! I just noticed how EXTREME it was, like, I agree to the update cuz they ere a bit too generous about the rating... Like the most of the people had like 1900 or 2000+ though, so i like the idea BUT... It's BRUTA- Okay maybe not brutal but u know- like... For example when you do a tiny little wrong on a NORMAL puzzle... YOU GET AT LEAST 9-!!! But here is the twist!! When you get it RIGHT on a normal puzzle... 3-5+!!!! This is nonsense man
