I suggest adding option to agree to 2 games in a row, one white one black

What if every "matchup" consists of the two games, where both players play each colour, and the loser of the first decides whether or not to continue? Overall I like the idea but I feel like it might not work online. In a chess club the other guy is right there, and he can't really refuse a rematch (unless he has something else to do oc), but online, you have no idea what your opponent has going on, and it's way harder to communicate. (But if it could work I'm all for it)

It p's me off when players refuse rematch after frustrating loses, I know it probably shouldn't but it does and I'm sure many feel the same way, I'm not a lone alien from outer space.

If you lose, they just wanna keep a good score against you.

If they lose, they don't accept cuz they just don't wanna tilt.

Tbh sometimes my dad doesn't accept just to rage bait his opponents grin.png

That's good feedback and confirms that yes, it does p off a lot of players and many winners like your dad KNOW it does and enjoy angering them by refusing to rematch.
So it IS a BIG problem, it's an unfairness, especially in the case that white won the first game, that can EASILY be fixed with this option.
(When I say easily I mean conceptually, I'm sure the coding would be quite a lot of work.)

Yeah it is a kind of problem area on both sides...

They just throw a solution at it with respect to scoring.

Again this is just a feature that can be enabled, and I reckon you could also enable an option to only match with other players with the same settings.

Maybe that divides the player base too much.

However the point is it is "opt-in", and people can already choose if they want rated vs non-rated, and it would only be for their friends (typically). It could even be an option to be enabled only for specific accounts/friends/partners. The rating is already understood to be affected possibly "non-traditionally" with a constantly rotating game setup, but that is understood and agreed upon. Break those barriers? FIDE isn't God.

Lots of ways to go about it to enable a feature some might find enjoyable.

can you explain " The rating is already understood to be affected possibly "non-traditionally" with a constantly rotating game setup", no comprendo - probably because I'm not at all familiar with how the ratings work.

I think I mean that... currently it is random, anyway. There is no "alternation" of colors between players, so the scoring is however the dice lands, so much if we're treating them as an arbitrary algorithm otherwise (their is favor towards each color and current standing, I think...).

So what I mean by non-tradtionally is only that tradition is to alternate colors, and any arbitrary scoring algorithm adjusts accordingly. With an alternating setup, it would be towards more traditional scoring. Again, in practice, this feature would only be used for regular partners, or friends, and so would, I think, help to align the scoring platform to be more "traditional", in general.
