Komodo bots now turn to trolling?

I just played another game against one of the Komodo bots. At the below position it suddenly started letting the clock run down, for about 15 minutes, only to resign then. This is imho really weird.

My main reason to prefer playing the bots over human opponents is to avoid clockrunners. Looks like this strategy has turned futile.

It was unrated, but out of curiosity I did not abort the game (or resign in a winning position).

No connection warnings whatsoever, but as the console window shows, the cess.com server again was really slow to respond to icmp pings (as it usually is whenever the site claims that I have lost the connection)
