Major issue with abandonment

It is very annoying when opponents randomly leave the game and never come back, making me wait for a long time until their timer runs out, this is very infuriatingin 10 min games. my suggestion is that a button should be added in which if u click on it the opponent receives a dialogue box asking them if they are present or not. and they HAVE to click it within a certain time limit or else they get kicked out. i believe this a good way to check if players are physically there or not. i hope I get a reply to this

Is it really a big problem?

Yeah i stopped playing for a while but i did play a lot of rapid last year. plus it is also annoying in 5 min games too. i dont even see a flaw in my idea its so good

It is really useful for me as my internet cuts out a LOT for whatever reason - meaning I wouldn't be able to check the box. However, if this only happened to people connected I agree with this idea!
