mutually agreed undo move

using the chess.com app it is a common occurrance to make an unwanted move. a finger might slip or the app only shows seven of the eight rows of squares and the move you try to make does not make it onto the board. even playing online on a laptop i have made the mistake of clicking on the 'move' button instead of the 'x'.

these unwanted moves can really ruin a game. i just had a friend give up his queen on move 16 of a game that was shaping up to be real interesting. he didnt mean to, of course.

the idea: put a feature in the online chess play that allows the undoing of the last move. just like when offering a draw, the other party has to agree to make it happen, so both players agree to undo a move that was obviously not intended. i am sure this will help save lots of interesting games that will otherwise just be lost.

Lichess has this feature and I love the add 15 seconds feature on Lichess. Especially when you get those pricks who want to run their clock out because they are losing instead of resigning so I force them to resign.

I agree with the original poster. I like the pace of mobile game play and don’t ALWAYS want to confirm my move, though I appreciate the feature and use it on my tablet. But, when not confirming every move I also suggest a feature to ask opponent to allow the undoing of a last move when I know I made a finger-slip. It compels community building by forcing me tell my opponent in a chat that I know I just finger-slipped and ask for their understanding. Perhaps put it in the chat section? Thanks. I really enjoy the app.
