@TheAgeofSmiles - can you link me to that game/analysis?

So, I am happy that I am not the only one missing the old analysis. I came back from a chess break due to very limited free time, and it was very frustrating.

I played a few games, and I can't make much sense of it.
Take this image for example:

According to the lines in the top right of the image, o-o is White's third best option (why is it not on third position, btw?). White actually chose that move and it was marked as an error as you can see in the move list. Is everything aside from the very best move now an error?!
Also, the top right shows that White is at best +1.73 points ahead. The black-white bar on the left-hand side suggests something else...

Seriously, they should just restore the old analysis system. It's simpler, it's easier to handle, and it is more consistent.

I just looked at the game and the analysis at that point was okay...The move 6. 0-0 was correctly marked as an inaccuracy as 6.Bxc6 was obviously the best move.

A move cannot be the third best move and an inaccuracy at the same time. Otherwise ANY move would be an inaccuracy except for the very best move. Also, anything to say about the inconsistent portrayal of who is leading? Because the evaluation on the right-hand side and on the left-hand side differ as I have already mentioned.

That statement is frankly ridiculous. I'm bowing out, good luck with your chess.

If anything, your lack of logic is ridiculous. The whole declaration of "inaccuracy" is useless if you start labelling any move "inaccurate" that is not the top move suggested by the engine.

@TheAgeOfSmiles, if the difference between the top move and the rest of moves is high enough, it can be the case that any move other than the best is inaccurate. Consider for example a King and pawn vs King endgame, where  only one move grabs the opposition and draws, and the rest of moves lose... It's true that usually you don't walk on the edge of the cliff, and in your particular game, I do find unfair to call 6. O-O an inaccuracy when the difference in evaluation is from +1.7 to +1.4 , but there are plenty of positions where the difference between best move and 2nd best is significant.

We are currently looking into an issue with the Accuracy. Happened in one of my games too:https://www.chess.com/analysis/game/live/3851190469?tab=report

@J_Estrada
Fair enough, but this usually happens in the endgame, when there are not many possibilities left.
It is really strange to see this in the early middle game, the rochade does seem to be solid.
