Petrosian bot

This isn't the first time I have pleaded for chess.com to introduce a bot of Tigran Petrosian in the 'Top Players' category (and tbf a few other world champions from the past as well to go with Morphy, Kramnik & Anand - their absence is the one huge gap in the bot collection) but it is the first time I have come with actual suggestions for how he might play. It could presumably quite easily be programmed to play his style of openings, so mainly 1.d4 or 1.c4 as white, leading to queen's pawn style openings, Torre attack type positions, that sort of thing. With a varied range played as black: KID, QGD and others too to 1.d4; french, Caro kann, Sicilian najdorf, etc to 1.e4. Play style could perhaps have a tendency towards defence and preventing his opponent building any momentum but still well capable of devastating attacking tactics. I don't know the ins and outs of bot design (ok I don't know the first thing about bot design) but it could perhaps be programmed to make exchange sacrifices as Petrosian was known for them - likewise maybe the occasional king walk! And he was criticised at times in his career for being too drawish and not going all out to win all the time, so maybe the bot could be slightly more likely to take 3-fold repetition draws in equal positions than other similar strength bots? I'm sure there are other things I'm forgetting and although I'm a Petrosian fan I don't claim to know everything about him or his style but I think a bot around 2650-2700 strength with the above qualities would do a fair job of impersonating the legend.

All the bots are based on the same engine with different opening books and different settings, for the most part. So it's not as configurable as your suggesting, as I understand it.

Ah ok thanks Martin that makes sense, shame, though I'd still play any Petrosian bot on a daily basis 😁
