At any rate, are the vote chess matches from a club? Perhaps you need to check your club notification settings.

Spamming by email is not legal in many parts of the World. And yes, you can opt out of notifications, but I want the notifications on CC. But not in email.

Those are relatively new and I understand there are plans to offer more granularity in email notifications

Also, check Settings > Notifications > Manage All Channels
If you're and admin in clubs and you're getting notifications about club activity, that's what's supposed to be getting more granularity, I believe

After I posted that, I decided to ask staff about those. I haven't seen them before and don't actually know if they're active. It's also possible those are in preparation for additional filters and if they're off, the individual ones will handle notifications.
Hopefully I'll be able to find out what those do
Recently CC are sending emails about new VC matches despite emails is not selected as an option in the notification settings. This is very annoying and probably also illigal. So please stop!
