Possible Lag on macOS/Safari leading to lost time in Blitz

Hola,

First I need to say I really enjoy playing on chess.com, I played as a kid and now I'm having a lot of time to play as an adult ... 30 years later.

However what's been frustrating lately is that I feel I'm losing many 5 minutes games because my clock is running out. I'm not fast and I need to improve, but it really feels like my clock time is not counted right. It feels like sometime I'm losing 2,3,4 seconds or more each time I play, even if I try to play quite fast.

I'm tempted to try playing with another browser ... I'm actually a developer knowledgeable about websockets which I believe is used for live chess.

Did anyone notice that ?

Chrome or Firefox are the recommended browsers.

You can configure some Live connection settings as well.

I think it would be better to just disable Safari support completely if it is buggy, I just lost another game now and it is quite frustrating.

So I tried Chrome and behavior was great ... but then I noticed that I had no add blocker unlike with Safari.

So it is likely that disabling adds is creating the lags somehow, and the add blocker on Safari is causing the trouble. Maybe I could sign up for a cheap plan to get rid of the adds or just accept them.

I use mac book pro, google chrome. Works fine for me... safari is just a bad browser for chess.com.
