proposal: if you abandon a game, you lose double your points.

No sometimes it could be out of genuine reasons like an emergency or interent issue.
I have to agree somewhat. Sometimes, I get an urgent (and unexpected) telephone call come in. I quite rightly received abandons for these games but I was too distracted to click resign because I was pulling up paperwork to answer some questions.
Besides, it is possible to accidentally close the tab - I have done this in longer games where I'm clearing out my chrome tabs. If you can't get back into live chess then you lose double points? Also, devs can we get a confirmation before closing the tab/ app while there is a game in progress.

example: Player A plays 10 minute match with player B.
Player B gets frustrated, and closes out of browser without resigning.
Player A has to wait for the servers to notice, wait a minute more (or less) for the disconnecting player to come back, and Finally, award the points to the player.
why not stop it by making it so if you abandon a game, you lose more points?
Not everyone in the world has
1. Uninterrupted electricity
2. A place without disturbance and
3. Uninterrupted free time for 30 minutes.

Rating changes only takes the score into account not the reason behind the score.
Player A also did sign up for a 10min game. Just assume player B spent the rest of the time allocated to him thinking.
