Not sure how active admins are on these forums, but I'm hopeful from the last suggestion I mentioned, the feature was actually added within a couple of days!
The first request is in regards to live analysis, where if a user wants to make moves on the board, the chessboard becomes gray scaled. Well, once they're done playing out a different variation, returning to the live position doesn't fix the gray scale. It can be fixed by refreshing the page, but this is annoying and adds friction. Also, just in my opinion, I do like the idea of differentiating between a live position and analysis, though I think that the gray scale is a little too much and could be toned down, and perhaps this could be more elegant with making just the board itself a more neutral color, not affecting the pieces.
For the second request, I'd like to reference the analysis page and how a user sets up pieces. Currently, we're able to select any piece and add as much of that piece (thank you for fixing this with my last suggestion, before we had to tediously select each piece, put it on the board, and reselect the piece each time, ugh!), however, once we want to select the other side's pieces, we do have to manually click to switch pieces. My suggestion would be to add a shortcut where we can right-click our mouse to switch colors, thus saving a little bit of time.
Thank you for considering these requests,
Sincerely,
A regular chess.com user
