They used to be much more honest about how the matching worked in the Help section. If they can't find you a match quickly within your preferred range, they start gradually increasing it until a match is found. Used to be explained in the help article, but now it isn't. If you keep aborting, you will continue to lose points. Sucks, I know, but that's how it works...
Rating range not working?

Hey everyone!
Recently I encountered a very strange bug in the match settings.
My typical settings are: Custom game/Rating range: -50 / +endless.
Yet, I get only matched with 200-300 elo lower players.
I don't start those games, because they weren't the opponents I had been looking for.
In the last game, after hitting leave button, I lost 12 elo points, without playing a single move.
What is up with the system?
