Remaining player gets to choose result of abandoned games?

Please, please can we have this feature? That when player A chooses to abandon a game, or disconnects/is disconnected, rather than player B winning by default (unless player B chooses to resign instead), player B gets to choose whether the game should end in a draw?

I hate, hate hate it when my opponent disconnects in a situation where I'm far from convinced I will definitely win. I don't like the idea of them losing rating (many people care a lot about ratings!) because their kid or their elderly aunt suddenly had a crisis and they had to leave. But I don't see why I should have to resign when I'm maybe even slightly ahead,  simply because they had a life problem. It would be far fairer if I could declare a draw.

It's just happened again. I was quite a bit in front, but could see some good counter-play for my opponent, and the wretched system was only going to give me half a minute before it declared the game a victory for me, half a minute being nowhere near adequate to assure myself the victory was deserved. So again, I'm forced to resign. I'm fed up of it. Please can we have the feature? It can't be that hard to implement!

(It could also be implemented as a system where if a player disconnects, in the event that the remaining player requests a draw, it's automatically granted. But this is less safe, because it doesn't give an accidentally-disconnected person a chance to reconnect, if their opponent is quick on the trigger with the draw request!)
