I was thinking that it might be nice to have another variant on chess.com: Hand and Brain. Similar, to Bughouse, users could "pair up" and play a game vs others. When it is their move, the hand would choose the type of piece to move, and then the brain would choose the movement. What do you think?
I think you have it backwards. The brain chooses the type of piece and the hand does the movement.

Players could have another rating for hand and brain chess, just like bughouse is a different cathegory when it comes to ratings.
They don't need to communicate. The hand can have the pictures of pieces displayed on the screen and he can click on a picture of a piece they want to move and the hand gets notified by what brain picked and has to play a move with that piece. I am really surprised that you can't do this online on any chess website.
