Seriously annoying bug/issue with Chrome in Live Chess

In live chess when using Chrome the board is slightly blurry, I don't have these issues in other browsers. I don't even have this issue when analysing or playing normally. But when playing in a Tournament I couldn't get myself to play more since the slight blur was so annoying.

I even see this issue in the new GothamChess video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mCsc24k-Q8M

See how when he picks up a piece it's sharper and not as blurry. Might not be annoying to some people but I hate it.

Usually images are blurry until they fully load.

Perhaps you have the lite option checked in Chrome, which attempts to speed things up overall by not downloading each and every pixel.

I mean the actual board. It's fully loaded.

Exactly.  How would you save a few pixels loading chess games? Maybe they only serve you the images of the pieces that moved. Everything else on the board stays the same.

That makes sense actually. Mhhhhh... but I can't seem to find any option for that.

Sadly I tried it with incognito and still has the same issue.

I have the same issue, the board and pieces are blurry on live chess only. For me, this is the case on Chrome and Edge, everything's fine on Firefox.

Are you playing fullscreen?

I get this playing on larger monitors because the pieces are raster images so they get noticeably blurry as they scale up on larger monitors. Lichess for example uses vector pieces so they scale up without the blur.
