It seems unlikely that they will host servers in New Zealand any time soon. However, they have set up a network of servers around the world that now host 94% of games.

For us playing in NZ and Australia bullet chess is a nightmare. I'm down 300 points lately due to simply having an awful ping. I have checked my connection and posted the results in another chat.
Hard to compete when your ping is 300+!
