Share Puzzle?

It would be nice to be able to share puzzles with friends on the app as I am playing them. The share feature doesn't seem to exist.

First you will need to go to the puzzle page and find the URL of that page. Then there are two easy ways to share your puzzles with friends.

  1. Simply send the URL to your friend.
  2. Embed the puzzle as a message or post in Chess.com (this won't work with chat).

The first option is straightforward (just make sure you have the puzzle page URL). Here is how to embed a puzzle into a Chess.com message or post:

  1. In the textbox, click on the icon to "Insert chess game or diagram."
  2. Click on "Load from URL" and paste the URL of the puzzle. Then click "Load."
    • If you can't click "Load," use the PGN which can be found by clicking on "Download" or "Share" icons on the puzzle page and going to the "PGN" tab.
  3. Go to the "Theme" menu and check the "Puzzle" box. If it is black to move, you may also check the "Flip Board" box.
  4. Click "Insert" and the puzzle will appear in your message or post.

I hope this helps!

How do you find the puzzle URL page? When I am on the desktop version, the URL is just https://www.chess.com/puzzles/rated

There are a number of ways to do this, depending on where you got the puzzle from.

  • In Rated, clicking on dot that appears in the graph after you complete a puzzle will open the puzzle page in a new tab and allow you to find the URL.
  • In Custom (aka "Unrated" or "Learning"), you can click on the green checkmark or gray "X" that appears after you complete a puzzle.
  • In Puzzle Rush or Puzzle Battle, you can click on the icon that appear in the list of puzzles to go to the corresponding puzzle page.
  • If you are looking for a rated puzzle, learning puzzle, or puzzle rush that you completed recently, you can go to your puzzle history and clicking on the puzzle or rush from there. @pgsystemtester can go directly to puzzle history by clicking on this link.

I hope this helps!
