While I was nearing the end of a 1 minute bullet game, a large car ad pops up, blocking the chess board and making me time out. At the time my window was not fullscreen, it was in a smaller window, but that should not excuse the fact that an ad blocking the entirety of the board could appear.
Chess.com doesn't control your browser.
