Site is great, but time delay compensation is fishy

I think the chess.com site is great, but the “time delay compensation” is rather disputable for the following reasons:
1. As far as I know the algorithm is not documented, however it can greatly influence the results in bullet and blitz games.
2. I have the impression it sometimes works to my advantage, and sometimes to my disadvantage.
