Site Locks if No Opponent

Same thing this morning: I say I want to Play, the site starts searching, and says it has to keep looking to find an opponent in my basement rating. But it will not let me get out, and to Lessons or Puzzles (which I pay for). Nothing except cold shutdown and restart of my iPhone will get it out of the "Searching" page. Please fix.
-- It used to be possible to "X" out of the search and do something else. For the last few weeks that "X" is not available. I can't get out of the opponent-search screen by any method. Exiting Chess-Dot-Com and using another program just means when I return to Chess the same screen is locked. Putting the 'phone in Airplane Mode doesn't help. Only a complete power-off restart clears this.
