Does anyone know how many active profiles there are on Chess.com, and does anyone have a clue about how many of them are:

1) Real
2) Cheaters
3) Robots

I think my rating is fair. I have now play 950 days in a row, so I use Chess.com a lot.

But, a lot of times I have great games against players at my own strenght: Fair, funny and equal, but some times I am just blow off the board without any chance when I am playing against players that are 200 rating points lower than me.

Something is right, but a lot of things are not right, and I am thinking about moving to another platform that takes cheating seriously.

BTW. I think that with the numbers of members playing then Chess has moved from a small sport, to one of the biggest sports in the world. That does not match up with the real world.

There is a lengthy current thread on this. Many people have already given their opinions.

@justbefair, Thanks. What can I use your reply for? Either share the link, or participate.

The vast majority of members are real people. The vast majority of players are also beginner level players as well.

I have heard an estimate that 2 billion people in the world know how to play Chess to some extent, so the number of accounts here is only a small portion of potential players. There are old estimates that number is around 600-700 million but that had been posted in 2019 or before and is likely much higher today, even if it's not 2 billion
