When daily games are auto paired, there's just an endless succession of people abandoning games. In most cases not even making one move. Too many people create a game and never return again. That's fine for live, but with daily several years will pass before I get a game. What I do now after the daily game is auto paired is abort if someone doesn't make the first move in ten minutes. That's about as close as I can get to a guideline as to whether or not the opponent will actually play the game. My understanding of this is that you can't have a lobby with thousands of games in it because it won't fit on the screen. But honestly, what your claiming for membership numbers are really just people stopping by who'll never come again to the tune of about 90%. Daily games pretty much do have to be chosen from a lobby or it can't be taken seriously.
