I was recently muted, and during that time I was able to see how a chess.com mute works, and I noted that I wasn’t even able to upvote/downvote or use emoji reactions on posts. This got me thinking, because also recently I blocked some people who were harassing me on one of my blog posts, but they’ve still been downvoting positive comments from me and my friends, as well as using thumbs-down and facepalm emojis and the like.
My suggestion is that the same functionality found in a site wide mute be applied to an individual block, as well, such that it not only prevents someone from posting on your content, but also from reacting or downvoting it. Since the functionality already exists, it seems to me like a pretty straightforward and sensible change.
This is a feature we really need. Back when I posted blogs, I would randomly get downvote spams and emoji spam attacks for blocking somebody. I've seen the same thing multiple times in club forums. Chesscom should really be doing something to prevent this.
