Suggestion: Puzzle Battle Opponent Rating Range

My puzzle battle rating is a little more than 2250, but recently I have been paired against extremely low rated players, 17-1800s and such. Since I refuse to buy premium, climbing rating at a reasonable rate has been nearly impossible as I gain about 1-2 points per battle/per day. If we had a similar feature to regular chess games where you can limit the opponent’s rating range, this problem would be eliminated. To clarify, I am fine with playing with low rated players, 2000s even in puzzle battle, but when it is all risk and no reward the game becomes futile.

Puzzle Battle is less popular than playing regular chess, so Chess.com already works hard to pair you as fast as possible. That often results in you getting paired with lower/higher rated players. If they added a rating range, sometimes you would wait an extended period of time, which is the exact opposite of what Chess.com wants

I understand, but I would rather wait for a decent opponent than immediately get a weak one. I think it should be optional, where you can set it if you wish.

Of course the option for that would be the best, but I don't know if Chess.com will put in the time to develop something that not many people have complained about.

More Powerful King?! ??

Well they should listen to members. Casual game matches are also often way beyond the desired rating range. This is resulting in many aborted games and blocking players which isn't good for anyone. For goodness sake Chess.com; please sort this out!

In casual games, in Play chess, you are able to set a rating range, by selecting Custom Game, and setting a rating range.

+1 wish I would stop getting paired with 1600s

Not a 2200 though 😅

I know this. The point is, it ignores your requested range and matches you with anyone.

Are you sure? It works with me

100% sure. I've raised the issuw several times on here, but no one from chess.com has replied.
