I’m an app developer by trade and I think these ideas are ingenious + would be easy to implement. If anyone from the development team sees this lmk, and I’m happy to assist with the code.
Suggestions to Improve the Analysis Feature

TL;DR 1. Have feedback and feedback symbols show instantly in analysis then change as depth increases. 2. Have show moves and hide moves buttons on the phone in the analysis tab, for the move you plug in and the best move. Just like in game review. 3. Have an option for more lines on the phone so you can see how many good moves are in certain positions.
Things that are better
-when you do a game review and you go to the analysis tab the feedback symbols appear on the pieces as you scroll through
-there are actual green arrows showing the best move
-when you go to show lines in settings in analysis tab it shows the depth increasing and adjusts the best move lines and arrow
Areas to Improve
The biggest inconvenience is when you are plugging in new different moves in a position. When “show feedback” is on in settings it takes too long to give feedback. Sometimes it takes 5-15 seconds. It needs to happen instantly like it did in the old version of the app. I’m assuming that it goes to a certain depth now and only then gives the feedback, but this makes it impractical for trying lots of different moves. My suggestion would be to have the feedback and the symbol appear instantly at a lower depth and then change as it goes deeper.
To get around the this issue what I do is turn on “show lines” in analysis. This gives the best two moves instantly and changes as depth increases. If I want to be really sure the move is correct I’ll just wait a little longer. I wish elements of “show lines”, “show feedback”, and “game review” would be combined. I want to be able to plug in a move and get feedback and a feedback symbol fast. This saves me having to go back and look at the eval then go forward and subtract the eval to see if the candidate move was good or not. If the feedback changed as depth increased it would be good. Also it would be good to have buttons for “show moves” in the analysis tab like there is in “game review”. Right now to get the engine lines to appear you have to press the line then the another line comes up at the bottom of the screen in parenthesis and you have to press it again. A button like in “game review” would be a lot better. This would be to show the sequence of moves for the best move and also the move you chose. Also having the option to see more than just the best two moves in “show lines” would be good.
