Sick of the cheating on this site.its so obvious.it should be one strike and your out

I got rid of this problem by playing daily. There it is not necessary to cheat a lot, because there are so many possibilties who are allowed (the self-analysis tool, looking in the Opening-Explorer...) and it seems to me that it is more real. I don´t cheat and won nearly 70% of my games, think that proofs it. In the most games I lost I know why (my faults).

If it is so obvious, let us see your criteria for finding a cheater

I was curious too, how does one cheat or what do you mean by that?

That's not really a discussion allowed in the general forums but check out the following:

I'm not saying how to do, just what exactly do you mean by that?   No idea what "cheating" is or how one could.  I get stalling, or sandbagging, or aborting.  I don't think there is a way to cheat on computer chess.  But maybe I'm naive.  I didn't bring it up but ppl keep accusing others of it.  No idea what or how they mean by that.  I think every person has own definition.  Anyway I only play fair anyway.  Not sure how to spot a cheater or what one means by it.  I get people stalling to avoid checkmate and give up time victory but no idea what ppl mean by cheating in here.  Don't think there is a way.

That's what that link is about.

if a player  uses the same time factor for each move  they might be using a software solution chess engine for each move - thats one way to spot a cheat- the other is to see a low ranked player using very high complex starting strategies in rapid moves almost preset -

guess their other ways to cheat - i just don't know most people here are smarter than me

I mostly play now at lichess. I won’t be renewing. I get better play there. While their analysis isn’t as good. It’s good enough. I’m fed up with what other posters are complaining about, so I don’t see the value for casual play. The problem escalates once school gets out too.

Right now, chess.com is riding on the Queens Gambit and lockdown. Well, we’re reopening. And inflations is going to have people cut back anyway. Chess.com has to figure out how to keep people sticking around. And the play here isn’t worth it unless you’re a rated player.

What is a 3/2 game.?  I've see it but no idea what it is?

BarbarianGoth

lichess is another site I presume?

Duck

Personally I think the downfall of chess.com happened when the merge from 4pc to variants occurred. cry

I also would like to know that!

And yes, lichess is the big rival of chess.com.

Yep.  Some streamers play on it too.

Basically, if you want a higher percentage of fair play, go there.  If you want better analysis play here, but it's pretty useless at times.  lichess has free analysis using stockfish.  But it's more like what you would find if you downloaded your game here and loaded it up in chessbase.  The puzzles are better here.  And the news and articles are better.  But if you're not a titled player, then lichess is good enough.  And their mobile app is good too.  I now come here for puzzles and news and streaming games.   I'll play here every so often, but I often feel like I'm playing against a computer than  a human.
