The new analysis animation

Is there a setting to turn this off?

I mean the thing that was just added where when a great move shows up it now shows "Great" for a moment before turning into the ! in the corner of the square.

It's very distracting, especially as I scroll through moves quickly a lot. I want to keep the annotations in the corner of squares, I just do not want them to animate - they never did before.

The setting under Boards and Pieces called Pre/Post Game Board Animation might control that 

i want it just how it was before. No idea why they changed the brilliant move icon. This new animation is trash i want the old one back!!! Change for the sake of change is the downfall of every company that gets tooo big. Too many people working there need their mini "improvements" implemented. Dont fix things that aren't broken. It was perfect before!!! Now trash!!! And no option to change it. Thank you!!

While individual staff can come up with ideas, any new features are product decisions made by multiple people.

Thank you, I have just tried it. Unfortunately this does not turn off the animations on the game review page (sorry, I said "analysis" before but I meant "review").

Although it looks like they have added another, similar, animation when the opponent resigns which showed up when I selected a game to review to test this, and that animation does turn off via this setting. So I will keep it off regardless.

Are there any other settings that might get rid of the one on the game review page?

I'm not aware of any other setting for that, short of completely turning off the feature to show them on the board.

For now I have figured out a user style that seems to work.

Hopefully Chess.com will see this thread and add a setting to fix it properly.

tbh i dont really notice the differences, so i don't care, one way or another
