The new UI is extremely frustrating for social users.

They erased half my profile. It makes no sense but at least somebody got paid for it.

The nav change didn't change profiles.

Actually you're right. It was the change before this one that did that. I wasn't aware of the new change when I posted this. I'm having a hard time getting used to this new change.

I guess y'all have to get used to it. I absolutely love this 'new' change. I had it for a few months as a Beta tester though.

I'm not jealous it's called not ignoring the comment I made afterwards stupid

The issue is the new ui creates more friction for a user to get to notifications of topics they have posted in. The previous ui was nearly frictionless.

I don't like it. I don't know why they had to change it, frankly. If it's not broken...

I agree, unneeded, and has now made the site less interactive. I feel like they got a new guy, that's jealous of the old guys work, so he keeps fixing things already repaired to look needed??

Updates are a team biased process, not the decision of a single person (unless it's @erik)

I commented yesterday on the fact that news is no longer on the main menu, and someone (Martin Stahl?) told me how to get it on my menu. I can no longer see my comment, but have news back, so thank you for the help.

I am actually very neutral. I don’t much like the fact that the notifs bar has moved, especially for live chats, it’s incredibly aggravating, but I looove the new designs for the sidebar icons, I think that if chess.com kept them and returned the rest to normal, we’d have a really great update!

We have a proverb here (in France) that says, “Practice makes perfect.” Perhaps they are simply trying to find the best interface through trial and error. Let's trust them, because I am convinced they will succeed...
