Time element of game

Tbh i’m just kinda pissed off at people playing this. I play bullet mode mainly cause it’s generally faster and not everyone takes 10 years to make a move and bore me. So that’s the only place you find players going at that speed. But the time element pisses me off. Because 90% of the games i lose are all due to me wrecking the opponent but them making random moves at the end at hopes to just time me out. Worst part is that they get rewarded for playing like shit because of a point second or couple seconds of delay. Cause we get a better ranking system that recognises rank based on skill and accuracy instead of blindly throwing your pieces around and hoping for the best? Like make the loss less heavy on the person if they play with better accuracy or something. Cause playing with 675+ players that are actually shit at bullet chess and have them get all credit based on time just pisses me off. Or at least make another game mode for that.

Here's the thing. If all it took to win at Bullet is to make random moves, then anyone could beat Hikaru Nakamura.

I love bad bullet, but we can't kid ourselves and think we don't deserve to lose when we get flagged.

Get better at time management. Burn less time in routine opening situations. Get better positions from the opening. Play solidly so you don't have difficult positions. If your opponent is making you burn time, then they earned it.

I see you're rated around 500 bullet. All you have to do is not hang pieces and you can solidly grind out games.

Hikaru plays bullet because Masters have little other way to get any better than they already are. Hikaru could make random moves himself and still beat you. So you have a point you jus have it backwards. If waiting for someone to move bores you then you obviously dont like chess. You use chess pieces in pursuit of instant gratification. If you play bullet i assure youve never *ground out* any thing in your life LOL. But its true, just dont hang pieces, hahaha, also true just avoid mating nets and the faster you play the more the clock will save your *chess* for you. Playing bad moves and forcing bad moves from others never made anybody better. Tell ya what. Get into an intense bullet game with 17.3 secs left and wipe the pieces into the floor. I guarantee you would not be able to recreate board position. If you cant even know where the pieces were you were not playing chess. Your whole thread is a laughable poster child for the poor health of bullet.

Im pretty sure at some time ever Tiger Woods and his friends have gone out and had fun hitting golf balls with eyes closed or with one hand behind back. Being Tiger i bet he'd be pretty good at it. I seriously doubt he'd want to set an example or say to play golf this way LOL. You bullet guys aren't Tiger. Or Hikaru. You just think you are. And one thing you dislike is earning what you get.

@presjpolk I get what you’re saying but that’s just how it is. People will randomly move their king and sacrifice all their other pieces for time just to win. If you enjoy that kind of bad bullet, then we’re not the same. I like to beat my opponent through skill while handicapped to make the best decisions in the least amount of time. I’m only saying that in a sense of reward that the app gives to rating, perhaps they should look at re-designing how they award their players. It’s an insult to even play against people who don’t respect their own skill at the game… or the other player. I’m not saying i don’t deserve the loss. At the end of the day, if i lose in that way, it just means i didn’t checkmate them fast enough. But all that work, up until i’m just about to checkmate and have it stolen like that in the last second is thrown away. If all you think that hanging pieces is, is just defending your pieces and waiting for the other person to time themselves out, then your rating also needs to be looked at. Chess is about making the best move… even if you’re losing, not waiting for your opponent to make a move. THAT is called wasting your own time. Anybody can waste time waiting.
I don’t mean any disrespect in saying this man. I’m not assuming this is what you do. I’m just trying to express my thoughts on improvements for the APP, not the players at all. But I respect your views on how you look at the game.

@Metuka2004 tbh you assume so much about me and bullet players but got so little right, that i don’t have the time nor effort to explain to you how wrong you are, cause it’d take forever. Reading your post was like watching someone play chess for 30 minutes just to move their king. So much said, but so little actually made any relevance, point, or sense. Play bullet and you’ll understand why it’s so difficult. It’s not just for masters who can’t find any way to improve at the game. It’s putting yourself under pressure to make the best decisions and beat the opponent swiftly and efficiently. It’s because i don’t like waiting that shows how much i like to ‘PLAY’ the actual game and not loitering around the feedback section insulting people and wasting time. I’ve got better things to do and “grind out” in my life. 🤙
