Vacation time is stupid

Okay. About daily games on chess.com, there is a huge flaw about them.

Vacation time, yes, vacation time - why does this even exist?!? If I play a 1-day daily game on chess.com, I should expect the opponent to make a move in 1 day. But come on? They just pause the game.  Really? And then there's the "You get more vacation time if you upgrade to diamond membership" - what is this?!? This is essentially "pay to win" in disguise - Really just a "pay to annoy" feature. It is annoying - and just unnecessary. Lichess doesn't have a "vacation time" feature - and there is no problem with that. "Pausing daily games" is just not a feature you should implement.

Many people have unexpected complications in their daily life that prevent them from spending time on some of their favorite activities. It is reasonable to allow occasional pauses for those sorts of things.

The site is modifying tital available time. However, for games that vam last months, and events that can last years, the ability to take time away and keep games active is important. A week is nothing based on how long games can take, even without vacation
