why am I constantly being matched against lower rated players?!?

In many cases well over 100 even sometimes 200 points lower...I’d say it is 4 out of every 5 games. Rated 1900 in rapid but only 1650 in blitz. Like that shouldn’t be happening in blitz I feel. I’ve changed my settings, but it doesn’t do anything, at least on mobile. What’s the deal?

When you just hit play, it seeks someone who is available that is close to your rating, and let's face it, there are more lower rated players than higher rated players at any given time.
If you want to only play someone who is rated above you only, choose a custom seek.

You can set your ranges in a custom seek, but your rating must always be within the range.
