Why are you letting YGNR accounts flood the forum, chess.com??

You’ll find them.
NOW IP BAN HER ALREADY, AND DON’T GIVE SOME STUPID EXCUSE TO NOT DO IT.

llamonade2

I assume if it were that simple he'd already be gone. There's stuff like VPN and Tor browser.

Lord_Hammer

Then maybe there has to be a time limit before someone can post.

So that YGNR can be banned before they can even say anything.

@Lord_hammer, I know.....I've reported all the ones I could find. It's really tiresome to see all these YGNR accounts on forums, especially serious, chess-related forums

llamonade2

The dude makes multiple accounts at once.

All he'd have to do is age them. Make 10 accounts a day, and wait for a batch that's old enough to post and you have the same problem meanwhile you're punishing all real members who may want to post right away.

smh

They do that on Liche**, but no one seems to like that limit. But it does seem like something to bring up to the mods

You’re right. Is there really any solution for this?

llamonade2

It's been brought up 100 times before.

llamonade2

I don't know how to combat stuff like VPN, but I know nothing is foolproof, it's like robbing a jewelry store, it sorta comes down to who is willing to spend more time and money, the thief or the people purchasing security.

And once you get their real IP, you get their name, address, and other info, and you can have police knock on their door.

Which is what I'd want to do if I were Erik...

Well, member reports. Enough people have to report YGNR to get them off the site. I don't think its possible to ban them before they create new accounts sad.png

On a side note, the restriction that chess.com currently has is that you need to verify your email address before you post...YGNR must have a lot of emails

Lord_Hammer

Yeah lol, I’m not even sure if this is legal.

llamonade2

Some of the stuff he posts is not suitable for kids.

He's not doing that right now, but he's done it in the past.

And in court chess.com could argue it's bad for business or something. I dunno... if the person you sue is poor then they're what's sometimes called "judgement proof."

Check out the RIP IMBacon (part 2) forum....I'm sure you'll change your mind

llamonade2

Heh, he's trying to be clever. He makes 2 names that are visually identical then posts the same thing with both, thinking that I'll block one but not the other.

Too bad. I block them both tongue.png

Sure that's not appropriate, but I don't know that it's illegal.

I'm talking about previously he posted straight up porn.

Lord_Hammer

Yeah, I know, I’ve seen those so many times. The inappropriate pictures/videos, and it was just so dumb.

For the last 15 minutes or so I've blocked each account that's posted there in less than 1 minute tongue.png
