While I'd prefer that people "add" to the conversation with something constructive to actually add, if it gets rid of the empty "+1" posts in favour of marking up an existing one I'm for it.

George Orwell had a point, but I don't think you can apply it to this situation. I just reviewed what I wrote a long time ago for my first post and I still agree with it.
