1 minute games and fair play

Please remove the 5 min wait for aborting one minute games.  People start a one minute game then never move.  The games have to be aborted all day long and this rule is punishing the wrong person.  Ive been on this website for many years now and this is making it so I can't play one minute games here anymore.

Sometimes the other guy hasn't seen the game start yet.  Try waiting 10-15 seconds.  I doubt the site will change a reasonable rule because of the exception case where it's merely some guy being impatient.

yes I agree.  mostly it is the red lag bar ones that never move.  I didn't include any blame in my post.  Maybe the person is not in the same country.  Its understandable.   I simply think the rules is wrong.  You shouldn't have to sit there for 15 - 30 sec when the game is only going to be 60 sec.

i think i know why now,

i was searching for a one minute game, and I clicked on a guy so i could play a game, but I think someone clicked me at the same time which resulted in 2 games at once. I could only play 1 one minute game at a time so I ended up having to abort one.

That can be a cause too (although would that even happen with multiplay disabled?), but I think in the majority of cases it's simply connection issues that's causing it.

Personally I think the time it takes for the server to abort the game automatically is not unreasonably long, not even for bullet.

I have had 2 games at once! Did not know what I had done but now you have enlightened me. Thank you.

As to wait time my connectin has a mind of its own, it will fall off then return in a few seconds for no apparant reason I get spinning square then reconnection, back even to previous move sometimes, but the time has always gone!

Playing 1 minute games at 200 points below your normal rating seems like 'unfair play' in my world. Perhaps I am mistaken and the members will enlighten me.
