Algebraic notation on boards

Why does not Chesss.con place the algebraic notation om at least a couple of sides of the boards, both in the games and in the Tactics Trainer?

It will make easier our studying and repeating different cases.

As far as I know I think that not more than 15% (perhaps less) are advanced chess players that do not need the written notation as a guide

Agree on things being as user friendly as possible, but disagree that it is less than 15%.

The notation/algebra seems annoying/confusing for the first phase of your development as a player, but with time, it becomes second nature.   Being an advanced-level player has nothing to do with this.

You have the option of showing the coordinates.

I wouldent make much use of them.

But I see no reason not to have an option for them when playing or looking back at games.

I don't understand why there is a discussion, there already is an option to show them or hide them as you see fit.

I was not aware of this.

Yes Mr Loomis and Echo, you are right, There is a Settings with the option for placing coordinates inside or outside the board.

My suggestion aimed towards placing them without the "option", due to the fact that in a couple of occasions, in my case, that "settings" failed. . . why? Only Heavens knows.

You see, I did not want to bring up this issue about the failing. . .

How have I not known about it for so long???

It happens Elona, believe it or not, because "navigating" through Chess.com is not so easy.

Even though I think this a very complete site (for instance the Forum has a very complete set of places which are really chess schools) I have not found in it a sort of "quick help" or short tutorial

As for the coordinates on the board;

--go to any game you are playing

´´go to "settings" (right down)

--go down the first item to something about the board

--you will find a long "window" or "box" related to the coordinates

--make your selection

and good luck amigo(a)
