All The Reasons We Hate V3!

I have 4 different browsers, some with multiple windows, each with multiple tabs open.  Its just the way I work..

[One of my gripes about V3; I can't resize this pic without stretching and deforming it]

Spacebux

That could be the type of picture it is, Capt.  Unless you're using a 'lossless' format, stretching most pictures will deform/degrade them.  If you're uploading a lossless format, and chess.com is reformatting it to a JPEG or other type, then yes, chess.com in V3, perhaps, is at fault for reformatting it to such a type to save space (over accuracy).

I'm in v3.  What's the problem?

edit: I'm using your image location as the image source.

CaptainPike

Hmm. I tried using the Shift key and dragging from the corners as what works in most formats; but when using the Shift key and dragging the corners, I ended up stretching instead of sizing. But I could do that in V2. So if the problem isn't V3, what else could the problem be?

Yous shouldn't need to hold down any keys. Just click the image, grab a corner, usually bottom-right, click-hold and drag using your mouse. The only resize option I have is proportional.

CaptainPike

Hmm. Most of the times, that is not working for me. I am using FireFox. Does that matter?

batgirl

I just grabbed the corner and it resizes in proportion.  I'm in v3 using Firefox.

CaptainPike

ok tx

Capt; In regards to your post 321, Riker just posted about it in the admin training corner group. Let me see if I can re-post it without getting him angry at me again.Embarassed                                                                                               View profile

@ Power V3 uses the new conversation type of messages. All messages from the same member will be continued like a continues conversation. I like it a lot after using for several weeks. The only thing that I feel needs changing is the chess.com emssages are also stored as a conversation which is hard to follow alerts in a PM ??

In the same way that Eric is trying to MERGE V2 into V3, we have to start to MERGE "the reasons why we HATE V3",---TO---"The Reasons Why We LOVE V3". Smile                                        ERIC, LIKE TRUMP YOU'VE GOT TO PIVOTYell

Indeed Mug a classic mismatch of elements V2 had similar issues if the wrong elements were put together.

I have no problems with V3.

It's just brilliant!!!!!!!!!

At the risk of intruding upon this half assed trekkie convention.

I note the v3 drop down menus all appear to 'drop down' for me at least except the forums tab.

For example; v2 - from home page to reach topics I have posted in 1 mouse click, v3 - two.

Vy zis additional click.

Or is there something within settings which may be adjusted.

Yeah, v3 has increased the number of clicks to get to some things.
