beep sound when sent a chat message while playing

When playing I like to tell my opponent who I am and where I'm from.  I think most of the time they miss my chat message because they don't look at the chat window.  If a short beep like sound were sent with the chat message then the opponent would know someone is communicating and a reply could be sent.

I imagine some people would find such a beep irritating.

 Of course such a beep would be optional.

What would be great as well would be timestamps in chat. Since it is easy to miss a chat message (can be several days old). Maybe moves could be indicated in chat as well as described in this two year old post:
