Hey there,

hope you all are doing well.

I just want to let you know that I have a lag issue on a regular basis on that site and is very very disappointed with that issue. My internet speed is fine, and connection is great but i alwasy have a problem while playing a chess. It happens any time of day and i dont understand why Its not possible to regulate it somehow...

I love playing a chess, especially bullet and blitz but almost always upset when its laggy. I'm really tired of that and cant get why the site managers and coordinators do nothing to improve the situation with lag.. I am sorry but I do consider to delete my account which I set up many many years ago..

Any comments and support on all this would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Kamran

PS: who knows how to delete an account on chess com?

You might look at the following. It is about disconnects but much of the information can assist with lad and slowness.

Also, I suggest disabling Flash for the site as it can cause issues.

The main issue is that most lag is caused by factors outside of the site's control.

If you have a good internet connection (at least 5 Mbps), live chess should work without any lag. I suggest that you try the following.

_______________________________________________________________

  1. Firstly, clear all the cache and cookies in your browser.
  2. Try updating your browser. A particular version of chrome (don't remember the version number) is known to be very laggy, so if you've not updated your browser in a long time, do it now. I know because I've experienced this.
  3. If that doesn't work, try using another browser, try Firefox.
  4. Try running a virus scan on your computer. When you download things from the internet, some PUPs (potentially unwanted programs) get installed which slow down your internet connection. You can remove them by running AdwCleaner (A good indication that you have PUPs on your computer is when you get re-directed a lot while browing).

Hope this helps.

Also try disabling "Hardware Acceleration" in your browser. Ask me if you don't know how to disable it.

Play with increment. Problem solved.
