it's being worked on :)
Chess.com for Windows Phone/Windows 8/Xbox

Allllllll riiiiight!
I don't want to bother you, but any inkling on when we could expect something like that?
Thanks!

I like the idea of a windows 8 app. I am pretty sure that you could reuse a lot from the web site code to create it since is possible to create a "hmtl5" windows 8 app officially! If you do please include stockfish on it and the ability to add custom UCI engines to play and analyze. That will be enough to move many people from others “well known” paid site and apps.

Windows r far behind from Android in functionality and detailing so if any windows app is ever made it never catch the aroma, beauty and elegance of Android.
Have you used a WinPhone? The OS is the most "elegant" out there. Some of the apps are stunningly crafted. For example, compare the Adidas MiCoach Windows Phone app to the Android version. There's no comparison.

You guys should now be able to create a "universal app" that spans the phone tablet and desktop. Maybe microsoft themselves would help you with coding, seeing that you are very big and would bring lots of new users to the platform.
It's good to know they're working on it. It's difficult to transfer from iOS to Android to Windows. The languages are completely different, from Objective-C to Java, etc.
This takes time! I'm personally very excited about it though.
I would like to petition chess.com to make an app for windows phone. I know there have been threads on this before, but I wanted to bring up some points the others did not.
If chess.com were to make an app for windows phone, it could be easily ported to other windows 8 devices - tablets, PCs, the Xbox ONE. Heck, with the Xbox ONE there could be some Harry-Potter-Esque chess going on - "Xbox, pawn e4." The possiblities are endless.
I understand that windows phones make up a fraction of a smartphone industry dominated by android and apple - however, I believe more products that have the windows 8 operating system will be sold, and by making an app for them, chess.com will get a jump on a growing market.
