Chess.com has been extremely slow

Thing is that on the last 4-6 weeks my experience on this site has severely deteriorated when it comes to page loading time. Did anybody else notice the same thing?

My guesstimate is that about 80% of page loads will take 15-25 seconds, other 15% will take more than 40 seconds (at which point I give up waiting and try to refresh the page) and only 5% take a normal time. Besides, still far too often I'm getting the following error message, that has been already reported on this thread:

I've said that once elsewhere and will repeat here that i do know that loading ad code is part of the non-member deal, but current load times may be greater than the staff would want it to be. I hope Chess.com can address the issue.

I should add that I load mainly cc-related pages, I rarely play live chess or access other areas of the site.

Simply install Adblock Plus on Firefox and say goodbye to all that nonsense:
