Classic Chess App with Ads!?

Maybe I'm the last holdout still enjoying your old classic chess.com app because of its simplicity, but you've just ruined it by adding the advertising strip across the top. clearly am idea by someone who doesn't play the game. to have something competing for my attentions just above the chess board is so obnoxious.

I'm sorry about this. Unfortunately this version of the app is no longer supported. This ad you are seeing is the result of this (I see it too!)

Will you give the new app a chance? 

I have given it a chance. it just has too many bells and whistles. I wish there was a view that resembled the classic app. something straightforward and clean. I use the new app for things like this forum. but for the actual playing of the games, it's just too much. keep it simple and I'd use it. i bet I'm not alone in this.

Thank you very much for the feedback! There are some that are really busy, for sure -- the Graffiti for example. Have you tried the Tournament theme? I think that one is straightforward and clean. :)

the big problem I have with this update is that it seems to have as its end goal to force as many people still using (and enjoying) the classic chess.com app to move to the new app. there isn't anything wrong with the old app. Or there wasn't. there is now. I'll go to the new app, but reluctantly and feeling prodded like so many cattle. not a great outcome for your clientele, I should think.
