Comment on "Hard" Computer with 2/1 Bullet

I play the "Hard" Computer frequently and I find that it always moves in less than 1 second. As a result, it never uses any time. I have noticed that there is a delay over the internet when I move a piece. Hence, a human can never win on time. I suggest a reasonable lag be added to the program in order for humans to have a chance on time.

I have myself played 272 bullet (2min+1sec) games against the "hard" computer. Wining 53 and drawing 35, so yes the computer can lose. However you are right, it has never lost to me on time, but that's what makes it hard.

I didn't say that the computer could not lose. I merely said it can not lose on time. When the computer moves, there is absolutely no lag. Hence, virtually no time is used. Unfortunately, I experience a small lag through the internet connection which eats up my time. Also, I often experience "disconnection" while playing. These "disconnections" guarantee defeat on time with Bullet. My point is something could be done to offset this lag disadvantage in order to level the playing field. Also, an automatic "pause" to the clock could be added to the program to allow reconnection time.                                                                                                         In addition, it never offers a draw or resigns; even when defeat is inevitable. Checkmate or 3 fold repetition must occur to end the game.
