Custom Rules Chess

I realise it's a bit niche, but wouldn't it be great if you could challenge someone AND decide the rules!? Simply tick the rules you want to apply: Castling, en passant, two-square pawn advance, stalemate, 50 move rule, the starting position and even how the pieces move. The sky is really the limit here. It would be great to see how openings would look like without castling and how some endgames would be completely different without stalemate. So who would like this feature on chess.com? chesspawn.png

I'm sorry, but that's a terrible idea.  Variants are one thing, but to screw around with the rules of chess is just wrong.  I'm sure there are some who would agree with you, but I just see chaos.

Anyone with a different view?

I do share a different view, and if I have some time, I might create it, over time even with more features.

In my opinion, this will be really useful, not only does it require you to think out of the box, it will teach you to not rely too much on one set of strategies and you learn the ins and outs of every option.

One thing I'd like to add are custom boards, either with some pieces missing or with some extra, allowing you to play variants and also create your own, but now I'm leaping ahead of time.
