Is there any chance of chess.com using the date format suitable for the member's locale? I get confused with the U.S. mm/dd/yyyy as here in the UK we use dd/mm/yyyy.

The international format is yyyy/mm/dd.

That's interesting because I don't know anyone who does it that way.

"Canada (Although most official government documents use the yyyy-mm-dd format, the mm/dd/yy format is also understood due to imperial influences from the United Kingdom)[146]"

gotta love wikipedia.  right above this, however, it says that the UK uses dd/mm/yy.

Well at least something remains of the British Empire Smile.

Until the first decade of this century dd/mm/yy was commonly used. For the first decade of this century people tended to use dd/mm/yyyy. And now we seem to be back to dd/mm/yy.

The yyyy-mm-dd is useful for sorting.
