Different profiles for online chess

Sometimes when I play online chess, I want to take the game very seriously and spend some time looking for the very best moves.  Other times, I want to play more casually, and only take a few minutes for each move.  The current system makes this difficult, since for the serious games I would be playing at a higher rating, but the site only uses one rating for online chess.  If this is an average rating, it is too low for the serious games and too high for the more casual ones.  So please can we allow each user to have 2 profiles?

When they would allow that, people could influence their ratings by playing their other account. When you play less serious , you could start an unrated game.

Mess about in unrated games?

With 2 "online chess" profiles within one user account, it should be easy for the site to prevent the 2 profiles from playing each other.

Playing unrated games is a nice idea, but I wouldn't want to mislead people into thinking that they were going to get a much stronger opponent than they actually get.

Just out of curiosity, did our games fall in the serious 2 hour category or the casual few minue category?

You won so casual I guess.

Yes, I also do the same with you Peter-Pepper, but I don't think your idea is very useful. You can just play unrated games if you want Wink
