Disabling Chat

This is a really minor thing but it can be sort of annoying. On live chess when you hit disable chat there is no enable chat button. A few time I have hit disable chat by mistake and have not been able to turn the chat back on.

I do not knowabout live chess but in the online chess once you disable chat you cannot enable it again.  Maybe it is the same for live chess.

Yep, same thing. Once it's disabled, you have to wait till another game before you can chat again.

So, is it a bug, or a fix in the pipeline, or a "feature"?  Anyone know from chess.com?

how do you enable chat when playing live chess

if you go to live chess settings, theres a check box that says "always disable chat". You should make sure it's unclicked, and then it should let you chat, as long as neither you nor your opponent disables chat. Personally, I keep the autodisable on because 90% of the chat I got was people getting arrogant when they were winning or insulting me when they lost. The other 10% was basically "hi, gl" and "gg" so personally I don't mind missing those pleasentries (although I'd rather keep them) to avoid all the whiny 12-year-olds.
