Don't show the notation for the move being played

If one has the move confirmation turned on (Settings/Daily Chess/Use submit button to confirm move (recommended)), a weird behavior on this site is that as soon as one does a move, but before it is confirmed by clicking on the orange 'V' button, the move is added to the annotation list. (Inserting an image doesn't seem to work on a Mac, so I couldn't...).

This gives an unnatural early warning. When I recently was thinking I was check-mating, I noticed, before confirming, that my move did not end with a #. Re-assessing my move, I realized I was about to make a very serious blunder, rather than check-mating...!

This is not the way it should work: players do not get confirmation of what they do before they actually do, i.e. confirm, a move.

The site should only add the annotation for the move being played after the move is played and confirmed, not already when the piece is moved.

Thoughts?

It provides the same on the analysis board too. Personally,  I don't think it impacts the game much.

I've noticed and thought about this too, and i tend to agree with CeSinge -- it kind of feels like 'cheating,' even though, as you noted, such information is available on the analysis board.

The way i see it is, if i'm too sloppy and lazy and hasty to realize that i'm not actually checkmating someone when i think i am, i don't think i should be saved from that blunder by not noticing the #-sign out of the corner of my eye.

If i want to be extra sure, i can go into the analysis board, but i shouldn't automatically be given any extra help without seeking it out.

I forgot to mention, however, that this isn't a problem when playing on the site (where you can simply just change the side panel from 'move list' to 'chat' or 'game details' or 'notes') -- it's only a problem when playing on the app...or at least on the iPhone app -- i don't seem to see an option there to remove the line of notated moves at the top of the game screen.
