I don't know what a gameable poll site is, but this allows only 1 vote per IP address, so we should get a pretty good estimate of how many people like V2 over V3.

Well, some previous polls posted only cared about a cookie. It would be trivial to vote multiple times on those.
I'm not going to vote there but it is trivial to vote multiple times without resorting to proxies even. Too bad member created polls aren't an option here.
A COMPULSORY vote by all expressing one's own opinion is the ONLY path to democracy. If you want a post-election right to question the result, speak up now or live with the same old perpetuated dynastic drivel that resists change.
You can gallup along polling random interested parties, but as we have seen, a free vote trumps a democratic process...........fancy that, how surprising ?!

People leave the site every day, for numerous reasons. It's just what it is. It happened during previous updates, it will happen in this one.
I honestly believe it won't be that many people and think 20% is pessimistic.
Ok mr V3, what about the number not going to renew? I am one of them, the staff will have to maintain the site for many more free members. Do you have access to these numbers? If you dont, your just blowing smoke.
I don't have those numbers, neither do you, and no one does. It would take take someone that can see into the future to give 100% accurate numbers.
That said, history can be a guide to the future, though it isn't always correct. We can come back a year after v2 is gone and check in and see how things are going. My guess is that some people that said they will leave, will still be logging in. Some that said they wouldn't renew, will have memberships again. Some will be gone.
Heck, even some that like v3 will likely be gone. It is just the way things work.

As I've said before, V2 will NOT go away until V3 gets faster. It's already faster for many people, but not all (especially older machines). We are making some improvements right now that we hope to have out early next year.
We also have a few more design tweaks coming to help people make the adjustment.
I know this won't be enough for everyone and I'm sorry about that. We're doing our best to balance the past and the future and it's never easy.
As I said if your really interested in finding a concensus of members views ,pls visit your groups and post this message.

Eric how about smaller buttons and side bars? That has nothing to do with function improvements, if you did that, it would show you are listening.
And untimed TT, free and unlimited; black outline around the board, and either fix iPad problems or fix me. (iPad works perfectly on V2.) And free popcorn.

My friend we really have no idea and hoping none leave but with new members coming in faster then ever 7,000 + in the last 24 hrs there is no way to tell but the goal is to make everybody is as happy as possible. Cheers

I have heard from a reliable source that Erik has hired RJC to be in charge of blocking people. That makes him the BlockHead.
